The Ricoh Group is carrying out effective environmental impact reduction activities at each stage to achieve the Mid- and Long-Term Lifecycle CO2 Reduction Goals.

We are globally providing a wealth of know-how and implementing many measures that we have accumulated in Japan and other countries. Such know-how and measures include (a) innovation in production processes, (b) the introduction of highly efficient equipment, (c) innovation in logistics and transportation, (d) energy conservation in our offices, and (e) environmental impact reduction activities that we carry out in cooperation with our clients.

We are making every effort to reduce discharged matter and alleviate the waste of resources at our global sites.

Concept

We are making every effort to reduce discharged matter and alleviate the waste of resources at our global sites, including the appropriate use of water.

Regarding discharged matter, measures have been implemented to reduce resource waste and cost, focusing on discharged matter generated during the production of polymerized toners and associated with the thermal media business, as well as the packaging materials used for transportation between production sites inside and outside of Japan. Also, in an effort to minimize the use of water, which as a limited resource has become a major global concern, Ricoh has set Group targets for effective use of this precious resource, thereby helping conserve the global environment.
